Some of what is known in Star Wars Legends atm.
When Thrawn or Mitth’raw’nuruodo was found, his parents were dead and was identified to be of a lower caste. He has a brother, Mitth’ras’safris or Thrass who aspired to be a politician. Thrawn aspired to be a tactical military genius.
Because of their ambition, both were adopted into the Chiss House Ruling Family: Nuruodo and were trained accordingly. But Thrawn did have some “behavioral issues” that the Chiss would call “learning disabilities”. The biggest threat to a Chiss is exile, which they did to Thrawn. However, Thrawn attacked terrorists that wanted to enslave the Chiss and he acted on the threat and killed the threat before they attacked. It was because of his tactical military skills he was able to defeat the terrorists with so few resources and help from the Chiss Ascendancy.
But while Thrawn was in exile, he was captured by the Imperials of the Galactic Empire (may change) and encouraged to join them. He attended the Imperial Academies to train and was offered a position to teach. At some point, Thrawn accessed the Imperial libraries and some of the Jedi/Sith information. He researched the art antiquities and rich cultural history from various sentient beings from both Republic and Separatists sources. The information, was extensive for Thrawn to interpret. Then, he came across his culture, the Chiss from the days of the Old Republic and the Sith Empire.

It’s an interesting spin you put on things, and the way you celebrate not only eastern gods and goddesses but also Thrawn’s Intellectual capabilities through this is not something I would have thought anyone would have done. I do wonder though that after awhile…..if you make too much noise…gods don’t like those whom mess around with their whims…..Gods are fickle after all….that might get a little overwhelming yes? Obviously not right off …..just things that come to my mind…. Very nice though.

@getthrawnin *continuous laughing as I drink my morning coffee* There is always one thing I say when I do tabletop RPGs with my fiancee…..in fact its a general guideline….. Gods are fickle……Gods and their play things…..
So what would his “Playthings” be….also wouldn’t there be some moment in that timeline where the “true form” would have to be present…..sorry my mind just gets so involved… and when I say playthings….most people put their minds in a dirty place I’m more so referencing mortal people..chess pieces…or one my favorite scene’s of all time featuring gods and mortals…. which I cant remember a name to..
Not massively into RPGs, but isn’t there a trope that says “imagine if these gods were real”?
Ohhhh….now… come come… Battle strategy and tactics? The Chimera. Nirauan. The complete and utter destruction of the Rebellion?
Or let you in on a secret: part of our fanfic, so it’s headcanon. The Chiss as a species are dying, going extinct. Thrawn found that out…
