I am older and part of high command in 2 militaries.
Parents can be tough. They want the best for you. They do not want you to starve, be cold, naked or desperately impoverished. Chiss younglings are reared in groups, together. Some Aristocra and Ruling Families rear their children with them, but the closeness that Vuhn parents…I mean…human parents have with their younglings.
But if you are in grief because you have lost your parents, support is there for you, in real life.
Of course I support the Galactic Empire. Training is the best course of action for wayward youth.
The other issue is disparate families, with too much emotion, something humans cannot suppress.
Also, too much information causes a disparate sort function neurologically in human brains that have problems with separating fact from fiction. Almost a delusion. Combined with a paranoia.
It is true that some Chiss have encounters distrust, but not to an illness level.
